Hit and run

How do you get rejected for a job that didn't exist? I didn't apply for anything because there was no job description and no job posting. It was supposed to be a conversation (I thought I was networking) but I somehow got a rejection out of it. Ouch. "We don't have anything, but just so you know, we still don't want you."

You can't help but be left thinking, "was it me?"

Words escape me.

I want to compare it to dating...but this takes all.

Perhaps an employer is taking hiring issues out on you. They know they can't have you, so they're letting you know that they didn't want you anyway. Neeners.

Seriously: do you think that you applied to a company that has two names?
